Hi, I’m Conn. For the last many many years, I helped two great auto brands win new fans. You may have heard of them. One is Subaru. What began as a small but really well-respected car brand became a much, much bigger car brand basically by letting everyone know driving one doesn’t make you a weirdo, it just means you’re smart and have a life. It was close to the same with the other car brand I worked on. It had a really excited core, but most other people felt the brand was out of reach, or even a bit stuffy. In both cases, my work spanned mediums. Big campaign brand platforms, model launches, motorsports, paid and organic social, earned media, Superbowl, TV spots, apps, web films, billboards, murals, events and activations–I developed and led work across every single medium, often using people’s excitement for a brand to bring in others. Sometimes, that excitement wasn’t even the consumer’s, it was the brand’s itself. In addition to automotive, I’ve worked across telecom for Sprint, T-Mobile, Dish Network, even Time Warner Cable. I got to bring my own personal excitement to bear on Sierra Trading Post, Bell’s Beer, Heineken, and many others. When I am not working to help brands find new fame, I’m at home helping raise two boys, two dogs, and probably taking on a car project I’ll be way over my head in. If you’ve gotten this far, wow.
